Galet de la Loire 260g is a rich and indulgent cheese from Anjou, in the heart of the Loire Valley, inspired by the smooth pebbles of the Loire riverbed, hence its name, galet, meaning stone. Made from pasteurised cow’s milk with added fresh cream, it’s sometimes referred to as a triple creme thanks to its exceptional smoothness and buttery texture.
Beneath its delicate bloomy rind lies a luscious, melt-in-the-mouth centre with gentle mushroom and earthy notes that develop beautifully as it matures. Its soft ivory colour and elegant pebble shape make it as beautiful as it is delicious. Serve it at room temperature to let its full flavour shine, ideal on a cheeseboard, simply spread on a fresh baguette for a truly indulgent French treat.
