These chocolate and nougat cream almonds are made in Montelimar, an area known for its PGI nougat. Diane de Poytiers starts with a whole roasted almond, coats it in milk chocolate, then finishes it with a smooth layer of nougat cream.
The texture builds gently with each bite. The almond brings a clean crunch at the centre, followed by melting milk chocolate. The outer nougat cream adds softness and a light honeyed sweetness, giving a balanced finish without becoming heavy.
